This Training Service Agreement (“Agreement”) applies to www.montrealk9academytx.com and Montreal’s Professional Dog Training Services (“Company”) and governs all professional dog training services provided. For this Agreement, unless otherwise noted, all references to the Company include www.montrealk9academytx.com. The Company is a Professional Dog Training and Behavior Services provider located in Houston, Texas.

By booking, purchasing, or participating in any training services, you (“Owner,” “Client”) agree to the terms outlined in this Agreement.

Scope of Services

The Company provides professional dog training services, including but not limited to:

• Puppy training and socialization

• Basic obedience training

• Advanced obedience training

• Behavior modification services

• In-home training sessions

• Board-and-train programs

• Owner education and coaching

Services are customized based on your dog’s temperament, behavior history, and training goals.

No Guarantee of Specific Results

Dog training results vary based on numerous factors, including:

• Owner consistency and follow-through

• Dog temperament and genetics

• Prior reinforcement history

• Environmental influences

• Household participation

​

While the Company uses professional, humane, positive reinforcement methods designed to promote reliable behavior change, no guarantee is made regarding specific outcomes or timelines.

The owner understands that training is a collaborative process requiring consistent reinforcement at home.

​

Owner Responsibilities

Owner agrees to:

• Provide accurate and complete information regarding the dog’s behavior history, bite history, medical conditions, and temperament.

• Maintain up-to-date vaccinations

• Follow training instructions and practice exercises as assigned.

• Ensure all household members follow consistent training protocols.

• Notify the Company of any changes in behavior or health

Failure to disclose aggression, bite history, or medical concerns may result in immediate termination of services without refund.

Assumption of Risk

The owner acknowledges that dogs are animals and may behave unpredictably. Training environments may involve interaction with:

• Other dogs

• New environments

• Novel stimuli

• Equipment

Owner assumes full responsibility for any injury, damage, or loss caused by their dog except in cases of proven gross negligence by the Company.

Liability Limitation

The Company shall not be held liable for:

• Injuries caused by undisclosed aggression

• Injuries to third parties after training

• Pre-existing medical conditions

• Incidents occurring outside supervised sessions

• Regression due to inconsistent owner reinforcement

Liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid for services.

Payment Terms

• Payment is due before or at the time of service unless otherwise agreed.

• Deposits may be required to secure bookings.

• Board-and-train programs require full or partial payment in advance.

• Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.

Cancellation Policy

• A minimum of 24–48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule sessions.

• Missed appointments without notice may be forfeited.

• Board-and-train cancellations may result in forfeiture of the deposit.

Health and Vaccination Requirements

Owner certifies that the dog:

• Is current on Rabies vaccination

• Is current on DHPP vaccination

• Is free from contagious illness

• Does not have untreated parasites

Proof of vaccination may be required before services begin.

​

Emergency Veterinary Authorization

In the event of illness or injury, Owner authorizes the Company to seek veterinary care if Owner cannot be reached. Owner assumes full financial responsibility for all veterinary costs.

Media Release

Unless declined in writing, Owner grants permission for photographs or videos of the dog to be used for educational or marketing purposes.

​

Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas.
